Visual artist based in Kyoto, born and raised. A graduate of Kyoto University of the Arts, Koji Shiroshita explores the “essence of painting,” known for his series “Completely Untitled,” which features densely packed images drawn in ink; “PICTURE,” capturing the transient, still-liquid moments of ink on paper through photography; “FOCUS,” depicting the blurred images found in loading photographs and defocused backgrounds in video scenes on social media; and “Drawing on Space,” utilizing VR technology to draw directly within spatial environments. He frequently collaborates with other creators, including photographers, filmmakers, XR creators, and sound installation artists, expanding his expressive range through interdisciplinary projects. He has held numerous solo exhibitions in Osaka, Tokyo, Kyoto, Fukuoka, and Ibaraki.
